As a member of a special business unit of the company, you will work with the team responsible for research and development of solutions that use machine learning to solve real-world problems in domains of Computer Vision, Natural Language Understanding, Speech Understanding, and Anomaly Detection. As a Senior Data Scientist: Computer Vision you will support both research and development functions of the team to help design and implement a cutting-edge AI platform that can be applied to data from a variety of visual sensors (Color, IR, Multispectral, etc.) You will be involved in and/or responsible for all phases of machine learning solution development, such as data collection and cleaning, as well as, model training, validation, optimization and integration. As such, you are expected to possess broad knowledge of machine learning and software development techniques, and interest to research and prototype novel solutions for challenging real-world problems, as well as, design, implement and maintain production ready code. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of smart people, including Researchers, Product Managers, and Software Developers, to advance a state-of-the-art AI platform.

What you will do
• Assist Lead Data Scientist in delivery of product features that require machine learning
• Guide junior Data Scientists to build and improve machine learning models
• Clean and organize data to build machine learning models
• Design experiments and write code for model training and evaluation
• Quantitatively evaluate trained models for speed and accuracy considerations
• Optimize trained models for speed and accuracy to meet product/feature objectives
• Build prototypes/POCs with trained models
• Read arXiv/conference/journal papers to keep pace with scientific advancements
• Help integrate models into customer products
What you’ll need
• Satisfy one of the following:
Ph.D. degree with concentration in CV and ML and 2+ years of relevant experience
o Masters degree with relevant coursework and 5+ years’ experience of developing CV, AI and ML solutions
o Bachelors degree with 7+ years’ experience of developing CV, AI and ML solutions
• 3+ years’ experience of software development.
• Strong understanding of Deep Learning methods and practices.
• Strong understanding of statistical learning techniques (Classification, Regression, Clustering).
• Fast prototyping skills, including comprehensive feature integration during all cycles of development.
• Excellent skills in software development in Python and C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with one or more AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with CV/ML libraries such as OpenCV, Scikit-learn, VLFEAT, Pillow
• Experience with one Cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, Azure, etc. Bonus if you have
• Experience of TensorRT and GStreamer
• Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with writing parallel code (multi-threading, asyncio, OpenMP, etc.)
• Experience with CUDA.
• Open Source contribution
• Published Research in a top CV/ML conference or journal
• Participated in Data Science challenges, such as Kaggle.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, CSD, CSM, SA, ASE
